About Me
My name is Joanna Cannon (Jo) and because of my passion for the welfare of our pet animals, I studied Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Chester University.
I followed this with course in professional Dog Training in New York run by Anthony Jerone, founder of the New York City K-9 patrol.
I believe that there are no bad dogs just pets that are not as well adjusted to their environment as they could be, and by working with your best friend in your home, we can devise a program to enable you both to get the most out of your relationship.
My aim is to strengthen your pack however small by making you a more effective pack leader and therefore making your dog more secure, confident, and content and less likely to display bad behavior.
Together we will find the most appropriate method of training for you and your dog as it is important that you are comfortable with the plan and confident in what you are asking from your dog.
Key Principles
- A knowledgeable owner is the key to successful ownership.
- A dog who is trained and understands what is expected of it is a happy dog.
- Today's growl is tomorrow's bite - recognising unacceptable behaviours and dealing with them in the correct manner can prevent escalations in behaviour patterns and possible accidents.
- Make your dog work for his living; don't let your dog train you to give him something for nothing.
- A well exercised dog is a contented dog.
